Classic in style, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a pure reflection of the Dry Creek Valley. Grown on the steep hillsides of West Dry Creek, these vines were planted over 30 years ago and bring a beautiful balance to the vines. Cherry and cassis are evident to the nose along with a dusty slate - characteristics of the best Old World cabernet sauvignons. In the mouth, ripe red and dark berry flavors dominate, with a hint of peppery and spice notes. This wine is sure to reward you as it ages for the next 10+ years. This wine is an excellent companion to a grilled steak, lamb chops or a great burger.
We are pleased that our 2013 Cardinal Rule Cabernet Sauvignon has been chosen by Stanford as the Governor's selection for the 2018 Stanford Wine Program
